Permanent Hair Reduction:

Undesired or excessive body hair is a common concern of many men and women. Our StarLux IPL laser provides permanent hair reduction for long-lasting results and virtually hair-free skin. Our unique system emits intense pulses of light that are absorbed by the hair follicle disabling the hair to grow. IPL hair removal permanently eliminates or reduces hair on all body areas and most skin types eliminating the need for messy creams, shaving or waxing. The unique cooling system provides very little discomfort.

  1. 5-7 treatments 4-6 weeks apart
  2. No hair removal other than shaving 6 weeks prior to treatment
  3. No sun exposure or self tanning 3-4 weeks prior
  4. Ideal candidate needs some color to hair
  5. Hair grows in 3 cycles and best to target hair in the active growing stage (anagen). Usually 80% of hair is able to be treated (everyone has dormant or sleeping hairs)
  6. Treatment time: 30– 60 minutes depending on body area and coarseness of the hair

 

   

Photofacial – Vascular and Pigmented lesions

  2. Pigmented lesions: Intense pulses of light are absorbed by pigmented (brown) lesions in the skin
  3. No down time, everything can be covered with make-up
  4. 3-5 treatments every 3-4 weeks, occasional touch up every 6 months especially if continuous sun exposure
  5. Treated area will become very photosensitive so sunblock and hat are recommended for face if going in the sun
  6. Treatment time: 30-60 minutes face, neck, chest, hands, and other large areas

 

 

 

The Erbium Skin Resurfacing Laser

What is Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing is a procedure specifically designed to remove surperfical and moderately deep lines and wrinkles on the face. Studies show that the Erbium Laser stimulates the production of collagen, creating a tightening and smoothing of the skin.

Patients can expect approximately 3 treatments spread 4 weeks apart as the usual protocol.

Patients will experience minor discomfort compared to a sunburn. This discomfort will last for approximately 24 hours. The treated area will remain reddish-brown for 48 hours. Make-up can be applied 24 hours post treatment. Full peeling should take approximately one week.
